We are looking for a Junior Studio and Sales Assistant to join our Melbourne team, working from our Abbotsford studio store.
This is a Permanent Part-time position—the successful candidate must be available to work 2-3 days across the week and weekend (days flexible) with a minimum of 15 hours.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 year’s experience working in a creative business environment. Further education or training in the fashion industry would be a bonus, but not essential. We are looking for someone who possesses exceptional customer service skills, a keen eye for detail and who can work independently.
FME is an independent clothing label focussed on creating refined comfort-wear locally in Melbourne. We produce garments in small, thoughtful runs with a strong emphasis on high-quality and organic fabrics. FME ensure a beautiful, ethical product. A truly independent alternative to high-street fashion.
As junior studio and sales assistant, you will be responsible for retail sales and the management of inventory, stocktake and e-commerce. You will also have the opportunity to assist our production coordinator in the behind the scenes running of our incoming and outgoing production. The role will require:
Customer service - both within the retail space and online
Packing and shipping retail and wholesale orders
Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery
Assisting with the management of fabrics and materials for production
Stock inventory and office supplies management
Potential to assist with management of the label’s social media platforms
To be successful in this role you will require:
Administrative and organisational skills:
- Administration or office management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
Ability to work independently and manage your own timelines with respect to small projects and task lists
Knowledge of our brand, ethos and philosophy
- Driver’s licence desirable but not required
- Motivation and a love of learning
- The ability to thrive in a fun and fast-paced environment
- Professional and flexible attitude
